HOW TURMERIC CURCUMIN WORKS

Curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric which contributes mainly to its medicinal properties. Curcumin has strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties which helps our body to combat chronic inflammation that might lead to heart diseases, metabolic syndromes and various degenerative conditions.

WHAT THE RESEARCH SAYS

Studies has shown that certain conditions such as osteoarthritis, which is also caused by inflammation, can be given turmeric as an adjunct treatment to relieve joint pain and inflammation[1,2]. Curcumin has been demonstrated to inhibit certain inflammatory  molecules such as TNF-α,  IL-6 and PGE2 [3].
